It all began at Bethany School, a place where countless memories were made, though for us, the most significant ones waited in the wings. We were classmates since the 8th grade but never exchanged a word until the end of 9th grade. The first time we spoke, it wasn’t for anything grand or romantic—it was simply a conversation about an upcoming class basketball match. It was short, casual, and it would take us years to realize that it was the start of something extraordinary.

By the time we reached 10th grade, life had its plans. Our paths intertwined more often, and we found ourselves part of the same circle of friends. That year, our casual acquaintance blossomed into a genuine friendship, and it marked the beginning of a bond that would only grow stronger over time.

After school, life pulled us in different directions. One pursued computer engineering, while the other embarked on the journey to become a doctor. Though the demands of our studies meant we didn’t meet as often, we kept in touch through messages and the occasional conversation. It was as if life knew we needed time to find ourselves before finding each other. And so, the years passed—over a decade, to be precise—during which our connection endured, sometimes quiet but always present.

Fate, however, had other plans. Years later, the halls of Bethany School once again brought us together, this time at a reunion. It was as if no time had passed, yet everything was different. Conversations that started with shared memories soon deepened into dreams, plans, and the realization that we both aimed to move to the UK. With each conversation, we found ourselves happier, finding comfort and excitement in our shared path.

The more we talked, the clearer it became: we weren’t just rekindling an old friendship; we were building the foundation for a lifelong partnership. After more than 10 years of knowing each other, it wasn’t long before we knew this was it. Our parents agreed, and soon after, the date for our wedding was set.

From a simple school conversation to a shared life journey, what started as a casual chat for a class match has become the most important story of our lives. And now, as we stand on the brink of forever, we’re excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of you.
